Estela

Every life leaves a trace.

Estela carries a small portion of a loved one's ashes into space, from Barcelona. The rest stays with the family. We're scheduling our first flights now.

Refunded in full whenever you ask.

How it works

You decide everything at your own pace. A reservation only holds your place while we confirm the first flight dates.

  1. Reserve a place

Pay a €50 reservation or join the waitlist. Nothing else is due until you choose a flight and a date.

  2. We prepare the capsule

We work with your funeral director or crematorium to set aside a few grams of ashes, between 1 and 7. They travel in a sealed capsule engraved with a name.

  3. The flight

We tell you the launch date well ahead, share the flight as it happens, and send you a record of the journey to keep.

Three flights, by altitude

Prices are indicative while we confirm launch partners. Your reservation doesn't commit you to any of them.

Reserve a place on the first flights

A €50 reservation puts you at the front of the first booking round.

  • Refunded in full, at any time, for any reason. Just ask.
  • It holds a place in the queue. It isn't a payment for a funeral or memorial service and doesn't commit you to buying one.
  • If we don't fly, every reservation is refunded automatically.

I'm asking as

For funeral directors and crematoria

We're building Estela with funeral professionals, not around them. Families keep their relationship with you, and you offer something no one else nearby can.

We're speaking with a small number of funeral homes in Spain and the UK about referring families during our first flights. If you'd like to be one of them, choose "A funeral professional" on the waitlist form and we'll be in touch within a few days.

Questions families ask

How much of the ashes travels?

Between 1 and 7 grams, a symbolic portion. Everything else stays with the family to keep, scatter or lay to rest as you wish.

When are the first flights?

We're confirming dates with launch partners now. Reservation holders hear first, and you choose a flight only once a date is confirmed.

Can I get my €50 back?

Yes, in full, whenever you ask and without giving a reason. Refunds go back to the card you paid with.

Can I plan this for myself?

Yes. Many people join the waitlist for their own future. A reservation holds your interest; it isn't a pre-paid funeral plan.

Do I need to arrange anything with my funeral director?

Not yet. Once you choose a flight, we'll explain what's needed and can speak to them on your behalf.
